Welcome to #Hack-UKThis site was set up to support a IRC room on the ICQ IRC server, but it's got allot of stuff here as well such as a members mailling list and hacking resources. For those of you who just want to connect and chat to other fellow UK hackers or otherwise the IRC server details are as follows:
Whats it all about?Good question... Basicly its a room on the IRC server where hackers can came and chat . All hackers are welcome not just those in the UK, but I would guess or hope that the majority of the time users will be from the UK and the topic will somtimes be about UK phones or systems. Other then that if you are a serious hacker with lots to teach and learn come on in. When will ppl be there?I hope to hold regular meetings where users can meet at a planned time therefore ensuring that there are enough for a good chat about whatever the meeting topic is, i.e. hacking linux etc Can anyone join?Well as I said all hackers, not just UK hackers, are welcome if they are serious about hacking. There is just one slight constraint though. I don't mind newbies, they are welcome, but not if they have very little understanding of computers. To be a hacker you need to be comfatable and have a good knowledge base in computers. Iherefor newbies with a good knowldge in computers are welcome as they will hopefully be able to understand what they other hackers tell them. If you aren't very good at computers then you proably won't understand half the stuff you get told. Nautrualy advanced hckers are welcome too and I hope that there will be enough advanced hackers for a good techincial debate as a pose to a bunch of newbies asking a few hackers what to do. Can I be op?First thing is don't beg, its not worth it. Seond thing is if I or another OP notices that you indeed have a lot to offer the group then you will get perment op staus. But you must regiter yu nickname with the NickServ. Type '/msg NickServ HELP' for more infomation when you connect to the ICQ IRC server as to how you do this. Don't takeover the channel becuase if you can take it over so can I.. Once you got OP don't abuse your power or I will abuse you and take your status away. I have been banned but why?My nickname is overfuse and if I banned you I had a good reason other wise fi another OP banned you and you feel he didn't have good reson then e-mail me and I will review your case. If you are really upset at being banned please refine from sendiing abuseive e-mails they get you nowwhere and just complain in a polite manner. More then likcly I will allow you back in if the offsion was minor. If you try and take over the channel I will stay up all day and night to I have control again then I will bann you permantly. What are the rulesMost things will go, but a genreal rule is if you think it willl get you in trouble don't do it. If a OP kicks you more then three times for abuse you will more then likley be banned next time. Is there a genrel hack room not just for UK hackers?Yes there is its called #Hack. It will son have its own web site which will be very similiar to this one. Again with planned meetins and so forth. Its on the same server just room #Hack |
